Bold, Effective and Connected; I bring you greetings from the office of Witney’s
Lights. As I dispense this message to you I sit in awe of mother nature and her ability
to make a few, small, perfectly formed snowflakes cause such an enormous reaction
by many…the power of this natural wonder is bold in its delivery, effective in stirring
up the masses and connected in reaching every human being and animal alike as if to
say; “Wake up! Get ready! Here I come with something just for you!”
As we get closer to 2012, the rest of 2011 promises to be full of exciting
opportunities, innovative changes and a renewed commitment to serving the public as
a voice for citizens throughout the country as we stand united against domestic
violence. In addition, this year will be a year that we as Witney’s Lights; a beacon of
hope for many will also be a force that unites communities and leaders while also
holding communities and our leadership accountable. Bold, Effective and
Connected will be our mantra for 2011.
Witney’s Lights will stand Bold as we serve our communities by delivering the
message of domestic violence awareness and primary prevention through education
and resources to schools, businesses, and community organizations, local and even
national leadership. Effective in producing the best community based programs and
services, we will produce measurable results that affirm our mission of reaching out to
the masses to save lives! Connected and 100% transparent; this year you will notice
our board members, staff and volunteers working even harder to be effective in
communicating with you about all that Witney’s Lights is doing to move towards our
mission to eradicate domestic violence.
Coming soon will be our inaugural issue of the "Lighting the Path" Newsletter; this
quarterly newsletter will provide you with an inside glimpse of our current projects,
upcoming events and other highlights. Also, look for regular updates and changes to
our web site and make sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube for day
to day Witney’s Lights news. Lastly, you can expect more resources to be readily
available for those who are seeking more information and help about domestic
violence.
